Button of Wilts, was adm. to Gray's Inn 1556, called to the bar, Ancient 26 Jan. 1569, and Pentioner 29 Jan 1578. He m. Emma (or Hannah) Askew (or Ascough,) was Deputy Chief Justice of Brecknock etc. in 1580, and Puisne Justice thereof 1581 until his death in 1600, aged 73. His Portrait in the robes of a Judge, taken at the age of 68 in Trinity term 1595, is still preserved at Estcourt.
