An early 18th Century and later tortoiseshell and silver mounted mirror of arched shape with armorial of Fleming impaling Crowley to the cresting, 69cm x 39cm/Note: The arms of Crowley of Stourbridge, Worcester were granted in 1707 to the Quaker Sir Ambrose Crowley (1657-1713). Sir Ambrose Crowley was one of the wealthiest figures in the city of London having been a successful iron master, member of Parliament and director of The South Sea Company. His fourth surviving daughter Anna married Richard Fleming in 1714/see illustration
