The nobleman's right foot is a restored replacement and the edge of his trouser hem is restored, his gilt staff is restored and regilt with some associated restoration to his left hand, there are three restored replacement tassels that are detached from the saddle cloth (but present) and there are several more restored gilt tassels and small areas of the edge of the saddle cloth that are restored and regilt, the black figure has possibly had some small areas of retouching and lacquering, his hammer is restored through handle, elephant's tail cracked and restored, one tusk restored, very minor stained glaze cracks at edge of one of the elephant's ear and to the tip of one tusk
