A Victorian ormolu mounted tulipwood and kingwood desk in the Louis XV style, the superstructure with mirror back and a shelf on caryatid supports, flanked by two cupboard doors, applied with oval porcelain plaques decorated with lovers in landscapes, the faded velvet-lined serpentine top above three frieze drawers on cabriole legs terminating in sabots, the sides with bearded bacchic masks, 136cm high, 135cm wide, 72cm deep

Overall fair condition with wear to velvet writing surface. Multiple veneer losses. Keys present. Desk lock appear original but only one lock retains its original screw mounts. Galleries a little knocked. Ormulu mounts with some patination. Mirror oxidised. Upper mirror with replacement plate. Overall scuffs, scratches and wear commensurate with age and use
