A late 18th Century mahogany eight-day striking and chiming longcase clock, James Roper, Shepton Mallet, the brass arch dial with phases of the moon and showing high water at Bristol Key, the movement quarter chiming on eight bells, the case with swan-neck and stopped fluted pillars to the sides, the trunk enclosed by a door inlaid an oval shell patera, on bracket feet, 220cm high, 44.5cm wide, 23.5cm deep
