A South German or North Italian ivory inlaid mahogany hall bench or settle, the arched and acanthus carved crest centred by a pair of putto flanking a shield with a fleur-de-lis, above a heavily carved frame back enclosing an inlaid boar hunting scene, above a hinged seat flanked by carved lion arms and above a double inlaid panel flanked by mask heads, on twin-dolphin carved feet, 159cm wide, 56cm deep, 158cm high
