A Louis XV corne rouge quarter repeating timepiece with bracket, gilt embossed dial with Roman hour and Arabic minute enamel numbered reserves, the centre enamel signed Julien Le Roy, single-train silk suspension movement signed on the backplate Julien Le Roy a Paris, Le Chevalier de Béthimes escapement, repeating on two bells, in a waisted case with gilt bronze mounts and floral finial, on original matching bracket, the whole with scrolled brass inlay, 85cm high including bracket

Ticking and repeating well. Dial very good, no chips to enamel. Case with some cracking to corne. Slight bubbling to lower sides. Pendulum and two door keys. Large period winding key.
