A William and Mary floral marquetry veneered scriptor cabinet, circa 1690, with moulded cornice and convex frieze drawer above a fall inlaid with oval framed panel and marquetry surround, concealing an interior of pigeonholes and eleven small drawers surrounding a central cupboard, upon a chest of two short and two long drawers, each with oval panels of floral marquetry, on later bun feet, 167.75cm x 109.25cm (66"x 43") Literature: see Adam Bowett, English Furniture 1660-1714, page 211, plate 7:31 for a very similar scriptor with converted fall
